At present

I'm a Principal Software Engineer at Aptana Inc. My primary focus is on architecting and developing rich user interface to improve the user experience and productivity of Aptana Studio.

Before

I was a Senior Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems  and worked in the Developer Tools Group.

My main area of focus is Visual Web Development Tool for Netbeans IDE. I've been contributing to several  architectural areas such as Window Manager, Web Services, Data Sources,  CSS Style builder, CSS Authoring tool, Web Page Navigation Editor and Web Page Design (details).

I regularly blog at Sun Microsystems' blog site.

Before joining Sun, I worked as a Satellite Remote Sensing scientist for about a decade and developed sophisticated applications such as monitoring tropical storms for disaster warning using satellite data (details).

What else

When I'm not developing Software for a living, I like to do some extra stuff, like digital photography, Acrylic Canvas Painting, reading and listening to some good music.
